SACRAMENTO -- The Sacramento State men's tennis recruiting class received national recognition when it was ranked 18th in TennisRecruiting.net's top 25 mid-major recruiting classes for 2026.
The Hornets are one of three Big West Conference schools in the top 25, joining UC Santa Barbara and UC Irvine.

Mikus Losbergs, who just completed his first season as head coach, is brining in three freshmen for the upcoming season, including Jacopo Antonelli (Italy), Thomas Ranson (Australia) and Alexander Simone (Cupertino, Calif.).

ALEXANDER SIMONE
• A 6-1, 165-pound native of Cupertino, Calif.
• A four-star recruit according to Tennis Recruiting Network
• Has a UTR of 11.78
• Has a WTN singles ranking of 18.95
• A top 25 recruit in California
Sacramento State received a top 25 mid-major recruiting class for the first time since the 2020 class was ranked ninth.
