MEN’S TENNIS’ NICK BOWLES RECEIVES ALL-BIG SKY HONORS

SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State's Nick Bowles was named honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference (singles) today.

Bowles, who has a team-high 14 singles wins this season, is just a sophomore and in his second season with the program.

Sacramento State (11-11) begins the Big Sky Conference Tournament (Phoenix, Ariz.) tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. PT as the No. 6 seed. The Hornets will take on No. 3 seed Idaho State in the quarterfinals, and the winner will advance to play in Friday's semis.

• Has a team-best 14-5 record in singles
• Has a 1-0 record at No. 1, 1-1 at No. 2, 5-2 at No. 3, and 7-2 at No. 4

• Has won 11 of his last 13 singles matches
• Has played at No. 2 or No. 3 in the lineup in six of the last seven matches
• Won each of his final eight matches at home
• Has eight doubles wins, and has played at every spot in the lineup
