SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State men's golf team will make its first appearance of the spring season as the Hornets take part in the Van Harte Orange County Collegiate on Monday and Tuesday at Coto de Caza CC. The tournament will have two rounds on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The final round will be held on Tuesday.

Team Notes
- Sacramento State is competing for the first time since closing the fall at the Ka'anapali Collegiate on Nov. 2-4. The team was under-par in all three rounds and finished in 14th place.
- Luke Dugger led the team in the fall, averaging 70.20 in 15 rounds. Dugger had eight rounds below par and an additional two at even par.
- Max Thomas, Zach Mate and Patrick Dumag have also been in the lineup for all five events this season.
- This week will be the first of five spring tournaments before the Big West Championships on Apr. 27-29 in La Quinta, Calif.

Sacramento State finished in fifth place at last season's tournament at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, Calif. The Hornets shot 277-294-282-853 and were led by
