DAVIS, Calif. -- Sacramento State sent four players to the Aggie Tennis Invitational, held over the weekend at the Marya Welch Tennis Center in Davis.

The four Hornets - Rudolfs Aksenoks, Adam Chodur, Jiri Novak and Hayden Rand - each competed in singles play, but did not compete in the doubles draw.

The Hornets combined for seven wins, including two victories each from Aksenoks, Novak and Rand. That included Novak and Rand winning both their matches in straight sets.

Chodur played in Flight A, and won his first match before falling in the quarterfinals to top seed Constantinos Djakouris in three sets, 2-6, 6-3, 7-5.

Sacramento State is back in action later this week to compete at the ITA Regional Qualifier in Berkeley from Thursday-Monday.
