SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State men's and women's track and field teams will have their first competition of the 2023 indoor season when they take part in the Air Force Lindeman Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Hornets will be represented by 28 women and 16 men over the two days. Sacramento State will start the meet on Friday with the women's weight throw oat 11 a.m. PT. The final event of the day is the qualifying rounds of the men's 200 at 3:45 p.m. PT. Saturday starts with the women's shot put at 10 a.m. PT and concludes with the men's 4x400 relay at 2:20 p.m. PT.
Over half of the women's team will be competing indoors for the first time as a Hornet. All but five of the team's women's entries are scheduled to compete in multiple events. The group is led by
Eliana Coburn who is entered in a team-high four events comprised of the 60-hurdles, high jump, long jump and shot put.
Sacramento State is the last of the Big Sky Conference schools to compete in an indoor meet this season. Only
John Gibbs and
Andrew Lehner have competed for the Hornets this season as the duo took part in the Pole Vault Summit last weekend in Reno.
