SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State first-year head coach
David Patrick announced the program's third signee in the last two days with the inking of Mater Dei Catholic High School combo guard Kris Gonzalez to a National Letter of Intent. Gonzalez will enroll as a freshman at the University next fall.
All three early signees are freshmen, as the Hornets inked a pair of Australians yesterday in center Bowyn Beatty and point guard Bailey Nunn. The trio make up the first signees of Sacramento State's 2023-24 recruiting class.

Patrick quote - "We are excited to add California native Kris Gonzalez to our program. He is a big combo guard who can defend multiple positions and really shoot the basketball. We are thankful he chose to stay in his home state, and that his family trusted us with his academic and athletic career. His success on the EYBL circuit will bode well for him entering his freshman year."
