COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Sacramento State thrower Evan Stork finished 32nd In the men's hammer at the NCAA West Preliminary on Wednesday at Texas A&M.
Stork had a best of 195-feet, 9-inches which came on his third, and final, throw. That attempt followed fouls on his first two tries.
The San Luis Obispo, Calif., native was the first Hornet to qualify for the men's hammer at the NCAA West Preliminary since 2015. Today's performance concluded a brilliant season which saw him win the Big Sky outdoor title and set the school record in the hammer. Stork finished first in seven meets during the year and threw over 200 feet in five meets, including his record of 212-10.
