SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State track and field teams will have their final team competition of the year as they travel to to the Big Sky Outdoor Championships in Ogden, Utah. The Hornets will not have any competitors in the heptathlon and decathlon on May 12-13 and will begin the main program of the meet on Friday, May 15.

The year's meet marks the first Big Sky Outdoor Championships since 2019 where Sacramento State finished first in the women's team standings and was 10th in the men's rankings.
Heading into this year's competition, the Hornets have 14 entries which are ranked among the top eight in the Big Sky this season. Evan Stork owns the best men's hammer throw with a 210-06 at the Fresno State Invitational and is the only individual conference leader on both teams. The women's 4x100 relay team of Meghan Rogers, Mikayla Revera, Kameryn Brown and LaTrouchka Duke ran 46.70 at the Causeway Track Classic for the fastest time by a Big Sky team this year.
The women's team features three individuals who are seeded among the top eight in multiple events. Shantel Nnaji is fourth the hammer and seventh in the shot put and discus. Nnaji was the conference champion in the discus in 2019 with a career best of 163-11. This season, she has bests of 45-02.25 in the shot put, 152-11 in the discus and 185-00 in the hammer.
Freshman LaTrouchka Duke ran 24.37 in the 200 at the Sacramento State Invite which places her third in the Big Sky. Duke is also sixth in the 100 with a best of 11.90 at the Causeway Track Classic.
After running every sprint distance during the spring, Mikayla Revera will focus her attention on the 200 and 400 at the Big Sky Championship. Revera is ranked fourth in the league in the 400 with a best of 55.81 at the Fresno State Invitational. She is also fifth in the 200 after running 24.52 at the Sacramento State invite.
The women's team will also be represented by freshman Sarah Collier who is fourth the league with an 800 time of 2:09.55 at the Fresno State Invitational. Fellow freshman Alexia Croffet rounds out the women who are ranked in the top eight as she is fifth in the triple jump with a best of 39-08.50 at the Causeway Track Classic.
Senior Alec Foster completes the list of the men in the top eight as he is fourth in the 400 in 48.12 at the Sacramento State Open.
