SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State track and field team held its final home meet of the season with the Sacramento State Invitational on Saturday at Hornet Stadium.
While the bulk of the action took place on Saturday afternoon, the highlight of the meet for the team came on Friday at UC Davis in the hammer competition. Shantel Nnaji set the school record and finished first with a best of 185-00 on her final attempt. That toss was nearly 20 feet beyond her previous best and surpassed Erinn Jones' record of 183-10 which was set in 2015.
Evan Stork also set a personal best en route to winning the men's hammer competition. Stork had three attempts over 200 feet with marks of 202-02 on his first throw, 207-04 on his fourth attempt and 208-10 on his fifth try. He also moved into third place in school history.

The team will wrap up the regular season at the Fresno State Invitational on Apr. 24 and will then compete at the Big Sky Championships in Ogden, Utah, on May 12-15.
