Sacramento State starts the season with an 0-1 record. BYU, meanwhile, remains perfect on the young season, improving to 5-0.
The Hornets are one of four teams participating in this weekend's Fresno State Invitational, joining BYU, Fresno State, and Cal Poly. The Hornets will face the host Bulldogs tomorrow afternoon.
Friday's action was highlighted by strong matches from returning redshirt sophomore Shauna Casey and newcomer freshman Jin Yu.

Each of the other four matches went in straight sets and followed a clean sweep in doubles by the Cougars. Full results from Friday's match are below.
