SEATTLE — James Kinloch and Anna Jensen each posted top 10 marks in Sacramento State history during the first day of the Husky Classic on Friday at the University of Washington. The meet will continue on Saturday.
Kinloch had a weight throw of 57-11.25 which surpassed his previous best from earlier this season by 4.25 inches. Despite the improvement, he remains in seventh place in school history. Jensen cleared 11-07.75 and is now tied for eighth in the Hornet record book in the pole vault. Jensen's previous best was 11-06.50 which was set last season.
The Hornet women also competed in the women's 200 during the opening day. Carly Schulz led the team with a time of 25.65. Senior Joy Weems set a season best with a time of 25.93.
In the men's 200, Eric Adorno placed eighth overall after running 22.16. Michael Turner ran 22.65 to rank second on the team.
