SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The season will continue for the Sacramento State men's golf team as the Hornets were selected to play at the NCAA Corvallis Regional. The tournament will take place at Trysting Tree GC on May 18-20 with single rounds each day.

Sacramento State earned an automatic berth to the regional after winning the Big Sky Championship by nine strokes. At that event,
Gabriel Smith and
Jai Bahl tied for first place as each were 9-under par. The Hornets will be making their fifth NCAA Div. I postseason appearance and the third since 2021.

The Corvallis regional is one of six in the opening round of the NCAA Men's Golf Championship. The other five are comprised of Marana, Ariz., Bryan, Texas, Burmuda Run, N.C., Athens, Ga., and Columbus, Ohio. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals (not on those teams) will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals (not on those teams). The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the finals.
