FARMINGTON, Utah — Ava Fitzgerald and
Gianni Miles were named the Big Sky Track Athletes of the Week, it was announced today. The honor is the first for both this season.

Fitzgerald won the 100-hurdles at the Causeway Track Classic on Friday at UC Davis. The senior ran a season-best 13.45 to win the event by .18 seconds. Her time is the fastest in the Big Sky this season. The senior also took third place in the meet in the 100 after running 12.02 for her best time of the year.

Miles won the 100 and 200 at the Causeway Track Classic and was also part of the winning 4x100 relay. Miles ran 10.31 to cruise to a win in the 100. His time improved his fourth-place standing in school history and was the top time in the Big Sky this season with a wind of less that 2.0 meters per second. Miles added a 200 time of 21.24 and was part of the 4x100 which ran 40.24.

Sacramento State will split its team this weekend at pair of meets. The majority of the team will compete at the Fresno State Invitational on Friday and Saturday while select members will travel to Athens, Ga., for the Torrin Lawrence Memorial.
