The Big West currently boasts three nationally ranked teams, comprised of sixth-ranked Cal Poly, 10th-ranked Long Beach State, and 16th-ranked Hawai'i.

Beach volleyball has been a Big West-sponsored sport since 2016, and three teams have won the beach tournament title - Hawai'i (2016-18, 2024), Long Beach State (2023, 2025) and Cal Poly (2019-22).

Live stats will be offered for all matches.

Sacramento State finished the regular season with a 14-15 overall record, and the 14 victories are a program record (2013-pres.). The Hornets are entering the tournament on a high note, as the team defeated both Santa Clara and UC Davis on Saturday, ending lengthy losing streaks against both programs.

The Hornets have three doubles teams with at least 13 wins, and they reside at the top three spots in the order. That includes No. 1 Ashlynn Archer/Reese Ampi (13 wins), No. 2 Victoria Marthaler/Aurora Bibolotti (13 wins) and No. 3 Kate Doorn/Mia Guevara (19 wins). The duo of Doorn/Guevara is currently a team-best 19-10, and the 19 victories are the most by a pair in Sacramento State single-season history.

The Hornets  will be making their 10th appearance at the Big West Championship. The winner of the postseason event receives an automatic berth to the National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship which takes place May 1-3 at Gulf Place in Gulf Shores, Ala.
