SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State women's golf team will make its first competitive appearance of the year as the Hornets take part in the 47
th-annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., on Sept. 8-9.

The tournament, which will be played at the UNM Championship Course, will feature two 18-hole rounds on Monday and a single round on Tuesday. Both days will start with a shotgun start at 6:30 a.m. PT.

Sacramento State will be making its first appearance at the tournament but not at the course. The team previously played at the 2017 NCAA Regional where it finished in 15
th place after shooting 310-298-303-911.

All seven members of the team will compete in this year's tournament, comprised of five returners and a pair of freshmen. Senior

Tova Hatton and Darla May Della Torre will be in the starting five along with freshman
Sophia Lee.
Ashley Koga and freshman
Jocelyn Tseng will compete as individuals.

The 15-team tournament includes two others from the Big Sky Conference in Montana State and Northern Arizona. Sacramento State was picked to finish in first place in the league's preseason coaches poll.
