SACRAMENTO, Calif. — For the 13th time in the last 15 years, the Sacramento State women's tennis team has been honored as an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, while six individual student-athletes were honored as Division I Scholar-Athletes for the 2024-25 school year the organization announced on Monday (July 21).
To be honored as an All-Academic Team, programs must have a combined grade point average of 3.2 or better, while individuals must post a GPA of at least 3.5 for the academic year.
This year's list of honorees on the women's side includes seniors Weronika Ejsmont and Maddy Ferreros, junior Palina Saulevich, and sophomores Lou Baudouin, Elena Mercioiu, and Irene Riva.
Ejsmont and Ferreros earned the fourth individual honors of their careers from the ITA, Baudouin picked up her third award, while this season marked the second career awards for Mercioiu and Riva. Saulevich also earned her third career award, but her first as a Hornet after winning the honor twice in her first two seasons at Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
