SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State men's soccer made its second signing ahead of the 2026 fall season on Friday, welcoming high school standout Henry Hedden to the fold Head Coach Michael Linenberger announced.
"We are excited to add Henry to our recruiting class for fall 2026," Linenberger said. "He is a fierce competitor that will bring athleticism and versatility to our team. He can play as a ball-winning holding midfielder, a center back, and an outside back. We expect him to contribute immediately as a freshman."
A 6-foot-2 midfielder from Alamo, Calif., Hedden is entering his senior season at Monte Vista HS in Danville, Calif., where he helped the Mustangs to a East Bay Athletic League and CIF North Coast Section title as a freshman. Entering his senior campaign with 25 career prep goals, Hedden collected 17 of those scores as a junior en route to all-league first team and team MVP honors.
He has played club soccer for Mustang SC since 2015, helping the club to appearances in the final eight and the final four at the ECNL playoffs during his time there.
Hedden joins Snow College transfer Mateus Romualdo as student-athletes who have committed to the Hornets this fall.
