MEN’S SOCCER ADDS HIGH-SCORING TRANSFER FROM PALOMAR COLLEGE

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Jakub Kozlowski, a high scoring striker who spent the last season at Palomar College in Southern California, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Sacramento State, Head Coach Michael Linenberger announced Friday.

"We are excited to add Jakub to our team for the spring semester," Linenberger said. "He is a true goal scorer who can score in multiple ways, his finishing technique is excellent, and he has an instinctual ability to find space in the box. He will make an immediate impact on our program."

A native of Mölln, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, brings his talents to Northern California after leading the state with 24 goals and 53 points overall as a freshman with the Comets in 2025, helping his side to an 11-8-3 overall record and a third-place finish in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. Palomar was the No. 18 seed in the California Community College Athletic Association SoCal Regional Playoffs before falling to No. 15 Cypress College — the program's third playoff berth in the last four seasons.

He finished with multiple goals in a game in eight of the team's 22 matches, including a pair of hat tricks against Imperial Valley College and San Diego Mesa College while posting a five-point outing with a pair of goals and an assist against San Diego City College. At one point during the year, he finished with nine goals in four matches, accounting for more than half of the team's 16 goals scored in that span.

Following the season, Kozlowski was named the PCAC Offensive Player of the Year and an all-conference first-team selection, while also earning all-region and all-state honors.

Born in Poland, Kozlowski played in Germany's top youth division in the U17 Bundesliga and led the U18 division in scoring with 33 goals in 21 matches prior to coming to the United States.

Kozlowski is the fourth addition to the Sacramento State roster for 2026, joining previous commitments from defender Mateus Romualdo (Snow College), midfielder Henry Hedden (Monte Vista HS), and goalkeeper AJ Bengds (UNC Asheville).
