FARMINGTON, Utah — For the second-consecutive week, Sacramento State's
Luke Dugger has been named Big Sky Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.
Dugger helped Sacramento State to a third-place finish at the Wyoming World Matchplay at Indian Wells Golf Resort.
The graduate student posted a 1-1-1 record in his three matches but led the team with 15 holes won over during the tournament. Dugger halved his first match against Pacific. He ended the tournament with a convincing 4&3 win over UC Irvine. The Hornets and Anteaters finished tied, 3-3, but Sacramento State was awarded the victory based on total holes won in the match. Dugger tied for the team lead during the day with six holes won.
The Davis., Calif., native has been named the Big Sky Men's Golfer of the Week three times this season which is the most since Ethan Davidson earned the award six times in 2021-22. Dugger is one only the fourth men's golfer in school history to earn the award at least three times in a season.
Sacramento State will next compete at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz., on Mar. 18-19.
