SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State indoor track and field teams will compete for the first time this season with a pair of meets in Lincoln, Neb. The Hornets will take part in the Prairie Wolf Indoor hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan on Friday and then compete in the Mark Colligan Memorial hosted by Nebraska on Saturday. Both meets will be held at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on the University of Nebraska campus.
Friday's action will begin at 11 a.m. PT while Saturday's meet will get under way at 8:45 a.m. PT.
Sacramento State returns 26 women and 16 men who have indoor experience for the Hornets. The women's team was selected to finish fifth in the Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Coaches Preseason Poll while the men were tabbed to place ninth. The 2024 Big Sky Indoor Championships will be held at The Podium in Spokane, Wash., on Feb. 22-24.
This week marks the start of four consecutive weekends that the Hornets will compete. Sacramento State's indoor season will also include action at the UW Invitational (Jan. 26), Riverfront Invitational (Feb. 1-3), Don Kirby Invitational/Husky Classic (Feb. 9-10) before the league meet.

Bellevue, Buena Vista, Central College, Colorado State, Doane, Nebraska, Nebraska Wesleyan, Sacramento State, St. Mary (Neb.), York (Neb.), Wichita State.
Mark Colligan Memorial Participating Teams:
