OGDEN, Utah -- The tandem of Maddy Ferreros and Julia Moraes posted a doubles victory at No. 3 and senior Tsveti Yotova claimed a point with a win at No. 4 singles, but host Weber State was able to ease past the Sacramento State women's tennis team with a 6-1 victory on Sunday in Ogden, Utah.

The Hornets dropped both matches on the road trip, falling to 8-9 overall and 4-3 in Big Sky Conference play. The Wildcats improved to 8-7 and 5-1 in league, winning their fourth straight.

After Weber State claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 in the lineup, Ferreros and Moraes teamed up to defeat Weber State's Kenadee Semenik and Sicely Ferreira, 7-5, at the No. 3 spot in the lineup, claiming their fourth win in the duo's last five contests.

Switching to singles, the Wildcats posted a win at No. 3 before Yotova was able to get the Hornets on the board, posting a straight-set victory over Semenik, 6-2, 6-4, to make it 2-1 in the match.

However, that would be it for the Hornets as Weber State posted wins at No. 2 and No. 6 to clinch the victory. The Wildcats then won third-set tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 5 for the final score.

Sacramento State plays two of its final three matches of the regular season at home beginning Thursday (April 13) against UC Riverside at 2 p.m., before hitting the road for Flagstaff, Ariz., for its final league contest of the year on Sunday (April 16).
