SOPHOMORE (2022-23): In her first season with the Hornets, finished 6-10 in singles play while competing at the No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 positions… Posted her best record at No. 5, finishing with a 5-4 record on the year… Opened her Sacramento State career with wins in three of her first four duals… Ended the year with wins in two of her final three contests against UC Riverside and Northern Arizona — the latter at the Big Sky Conference Championship… Finished 4-4 in doubles alongside teammate Maddy Ferreros — including three straight from March 26-April 1 against CSUN, Eastern Washington, and Idaho — all at the No. 3 spot, and won her only match along with Grace McSkimming at No. 3... In the fall, tied for third on the team with a 7-6 record in singles and finished 5-6 in doubles play... Reached her flight's main draw championship in doubles with Weronika Ejsmont at the Cal Fall Invitational... Gained the quarterfinals of her flight's main draw in doubles at the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational with teammate Alexis Johnson... Reached the semifinals in singles at Saint Mary's as the No. 5 seed before falling to the No. 2 seed from Portland.
AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY
FRESHMAN (2021-22): Moraes wrapped up a stellar freshman campaign for the Jaguars in 2021-22, helping lead Augusta University to a 17-5 overall record and a 3-4 mark in Peach Belt Conference play... The Jaguars reached the semifinals of the conference tournament before falling to eventual tournament champion Columbus State, while spending most of the year ranked among the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Division II top 50, reaching as high as No. 30 in the nation on April 14... The All-Peach Belt second team selection finished 19-1 overall in singles to rank second in the league in winning percentage, all coming at the No. 2 spot in the lineup... She reached as high as No. 20 in the nation in the ITA rankings on May 26, standing among the top 75 for seven consecutive weeks, while opening the year with 18 consecutive victories... Moraes' 19 wins were tied for second in the league and shared the team lead with teammate Claudia Borbon Roca, while the 19 wins at the No. 2 spot in the lineup were the most in the Peach Belt Conference... She finished 11-7 overall in doubles play, including a 9-2 mark alongside partner Clara DeMiguel at the No. 2 position which stood as the fifth-best winning percentage in doubles overall in the league.
PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE
Outside of collegiate competition, Moraes has been ranked as one of Brazil's top 10 juniors, reaching as high as No. 5 in 2015 and claiming a national championship in both singles and doubles in 2019. A 10-time age group regional champion, she has also reached the semifinals in singles in an ITF J4 event and a doubles championship final in an ITF J5 tournament in 2021.
PERSONAL
Her brother, Bernardo, competed for the Sacramento State men's tennis team for two seasons in 2018 and 2019 after playing his first two years at Holy Names.
