However, after official review, the runner was ruled down and UC Davis continued the drive which resulted in a touchdown.

The Aggie offense was tough to stop throughout the game. UC Davis finished with 306 rushing and 292 passing yards for 598 yards of total offense. Nate Ketteringham struggled to find his rhythm, completing 9-of-25 passes for 75 yards.

Defensively, Manny Scott-Anderson led the team with 12 total tackles.

SCORING SUMMARY

First Quarter
12:52 - UC Davis forced the Hornets to punt after three offensive plays and then struck quickly with a 58-yard touchdown run by Manusoma Luuga. The Aggies motioned the wide receiver to the right, Luuga took the handoff and cut back to the left and went untouched into the end zone.

9:49 - Sacramento State immediately matched the score when Jordan Robinson scored on a 2-yard carry. The drive started in Davis territory after a 62-yard kick return from Quincy Jountti. Robinson then moved the ball into the red zone with rushes of 16 and 12 yards.

5:11 - The lead swung back to UC Davis on the ensuing series. The Aggies converted a pair of third downs (including one by a pass interference penalty). They scored on a 17-yard rush from Joshua Kelley. The running back lined up as a receiver then took the hand off on a sweep and went around the right edge for a score.

2nd Quarter
13:17 - Keelan Doss grabbed a 12-yard floating pass to go ahead by two scores. Luuga had a 26-yard rush during the drive to go over the 100-yard mark. On the touchdown pass, Ben Sorensen crushed Aggie QB Ben Scott but his throw fluttered over the top of the Hornet defender for the touchdown.

10:08 - Doss exploited the Sacramento State defense with a 57-yard touchdown reception on a screen pass. The receiver caught the pass about 8 yards in front of the line of scrimmage, received a great block, and then out ran all players for the score.

7:37 - Jaime Medina nailed a career long 42-yard field goal to stop the Aggies' run. The Hornets drove to the UCD 21-yard line but had to settle for the field goal attempt. Medina's previous long was 40 yards at Northern Colorado.

3:53 - Doss added his third touchdown reception of the quarter to extend UC Davis' lead to 34-10 (the PAT was missed). Doss had a 55-yard reception up the middle of the field to start the drive. The score came on third down from the 6-yard line on a screen to the right side.

0:20 - Jordan Robinson scored his second touchdown of the game (and sixth in the last two weeks) to pull the Hornets within 17 (34-17) at the half. Ketteringham completed a pair of passes for first downs early in the series and the Hornets took advantage of a pair of 15-yard penalties against UC Davis. Facing 1st-and-goal from the six, Robinson used three carries to find the end zone.

Third Quarter
9:50 - The Hornet defense started the half with a stop on 4th-and-1 and the offense drove inside the Aggie red zone before settling for a 35-yard field goal from Jaime Medina. The field goal pulled Sacramento State within two scores (34-20) and gave the team 10 unanswered points.

8:39 - Sacramento State scored for the second time in 71 seconds with a 22-yard fumble return from Manny Scott-Anderson. Junior Ben Sorensen stripped the ball from Luuga and Scott-Anderson picked it up after it squirted from the pile. The sophomore then broke two tackles on the way to the end zone.

6:24 - UC Davis started the next drive with another fumble but a replay review ruled Luuga down. From there, the Aggies needed six plays to travel 75 yards for a touchdown. Scott connected with tight end Nehemiah Winston for a 14-yard touchdown pass to make the score, 41-27.

Fourth Quarter
14:10 - Doss put the game out of reach with a 58-yard touchdown down the right sideline. The Hornets brought pressure on the play but Doss was able to get behind the defense and stepped over a would-be tackler.

8:14 - Medina converted his third field goal of the game with a 37-yarder. Sacramento State brought in Daniel Kniffin to quarterback the drive. Robinson picked up most of the yardage during the series and team also capitalized on three Aggie 15-yard penalties.

NOTES

Jordan Robinson's first rushing touchdown tied him by Bryan Hillard for sixth place on the school's single-season list with 12 rushing touchdowns. Hilliard scored 12 TDs in 2008 and 2010. The score also tied Robinson for sixth on the career touchdown list with 29 (Fred Amey, Troy Mills).

Robinson's second touchdown rush jumped him into a tie for fifth place on the school single-season list. His mark tied John Farley who had 13 touchdowns in 1982.

Medina set a career high with three field goals. He became the first Hornet kicker to make three since Brad Cornish made five attempts against Weber State in 2014.

Scott-Anderson's fumble return for a touchdown was the first for the Hornets since Ben Cowger fell on a ball in the end zone in the 2011 Causeway Classic at Hornet Stadium.

Robinson moved past Troy Mills into fifth place in school history for career rushing yards. The senior moved ahead of Troy Mills and ends his career trailing only Charles Roberts, John Farley and Hilliard.

Robinson's season total of 996 yards were the most by a Sacramento State player since Hilliard rushed for 1,082 yards in 2008.
