SACRAMENTO, Calif. — For the second-consecutive week, Sacramento State senior Kara Houghton has been named the MPSF Specialist of the Week. Houghton played a large role in the team recording its second-highest score of the season as the Hornets tallied 194.800 in a dual at Washington last Friday night.
In that meet, the Parker, Colo., native tied for first place on floor with a 9.850. She also scored 9.800 on bars and 9.750 on beam. The victory on floor was her fifth this season and seventh of her career.
Sacramento State will have its final meet of the 2026 season on Friday, Mar. 21, when the team competes at the MPSF Championships at Southern Utah.
