SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State gymnastics team welcomed a highly-touted seven-member recruiting class to campus this semester to begin the 2026-27 year. The class features a pair of national champions at the club level.
 
Inga Jiminez (Stockton, Calif. /Royal Gymnastics)

• Comes to the Hornets from Royal Gymnastics in Tracy, Calif. — one of the top club programs in the country having multiple national champions in 2026.
• The highest-ranked gymnast in the class as she finished last season ranked 60^th in the USAG Level 10 top 100.
• Was the national level 10 bars champion, finished in the top 10 on vault and the top 15 on floor.
• Claimed state and Region 1 championships on vault.
• Finished in the top 10 on all four events as well as the all-around at the Region 1 championships.
• Earned a spot in the top five at the NorCal state championships in each event in 2026.
• Won vault and placed in the top 10 in the all-around at the 2026 Nastia Cup.
• The runner-up on beam at the 2025 USAG National Championships and finished in the top 10 in three other events.
• Placed among the top 10 in all four events and the all-around at the 2025 Region 1 regional championships and NorCal state championships.
• Fun fact: Was in her H.S. pep band, plays alto sax and drums; loves to bake and has a great dane.

 
Genovese on Jiminez: "We're so excited to have Inga join the team. She's proven she can compete and win against the best gymnasts in the country. She has a great Yurchenko vault and has recently added a Yurchenko one and a half that could be an option for the 2027 season. With her skill level and competitiveness, Inga should be an all-around threat and we cannot wait to see what she accomplishes in NCAA gymnastics."
 
Mana Nakao (Torrance, Calif./Flight School)

• Won the all-around title at the All-Star session of the 2026 USAG Dev. National Championships.
• Added a runner-up finish on beam in the same meet.
• Claimed the Region 1 beam title scoring 9.750.
• Finished in first place on vault at the 2026 Long Beach Open with a 9.900.
• Ranked among the USAG Level 10 Top 100.
• Earned top 10 finishes on vault, beam and in the all-around at the 2026 Region 1 meet.
• Placed in the top 10 on vault and floor at the 2025 Region 1 meet and in the top 20 on bars, beam and in the all-around.
• Fun fact: Loves to do her own nails.

 
Genovese on Nakao: "Mana has beautiful lines and has a high-level of difficulty, especially on beam, while maintaining those beautiful lines. She is very elegant while also being competitive. Her vault is a Yurchenko full which will make her ready to fight for a spot in the lineup right away. She knows how to compete and brings that competitive edge to all her events."
 
Giselle Milliner (Vancouver, Wash./Naydenov Gymnastics)

• Was the 2026 Region 2 floor champion.
• Finished in the top 10 on all other events at the meet.
• Was seventh on floor and finished in the top 15 on beam at the 2026 USAG Dev. National Championships.
• The previous year (2025), she posted a top-10 showing on beam and floor at nationals.
• Won beam and floor at the 2025 Region 2 Championships while placing in the top 10 in the other events.
• Those routines placed her third in the all-around at the meet.
• A three-year level 10 region and state qualifier.
• Fun fact: Mom was an All-American gymnast at Oregon State (1994-97)…this is her first time moving in her whole life…trained at the same gym as former Hornets Kaliah McCartney, Dallas Smith, Kayla Wonderly.

Genovese on Milliner: "Where perfection is the goal in college, Giselle brings elegance and refined details to her routines which sets her up for great success in NCAA gymnastics. Giselle is set to make an immediate impact on the beam and floor lineups. We couldn't be more excited for Giselle and the high level of gymnastics she brings to the program."
 
Kya Morin (Tucson, Ariz./Arizona Dynamics)

• A 2026 state and region 1 qualifier.
• Finished in the top 20 in the all-around and on vault, bars and floor at the 2026 Region 1 meet.
• Placed in the top 10 on all events at the 2026 Arizona State Championships.
• Won the 2024 Western Nationals title on vault and was the regional vault champion (level 9).
• Was the level 9 state all-around champion in 2024
• Fun fact: Plays the violin and does a really good worm (not at the same time).

Genovese on Morin: "Kya is a powerhouse on floor and vault with a strong ability to compete all-around. She has 10.0 start values on bars, beam and floor. Her bars routine has a high-level of difficulty with two E's. Kya will definitely bring energy and fire to the 2027 team."
 
Kinslie Bonner (Herriman, Utah/Olympus)

• A 2026 state and region 1 qualifier.
• Won the vault title at the 2026 Fiesta Bowl meet.
• Claimed the Utah state crown on vault in 2025 and finished in the top 10 in all other events.
• In 2023, she was first on vault and bars at the Utah state level 9 championship.
• Also won the all-around and bars title at level 9 Region 1 meet.
• Ranked among the USAG Top 100.
• Fun fact: Loves boating and can wakesurf, wakeboard and water ski.

Genovese on Bonner: "Kinslie comes from one of the top club programs in the nation and knows what it takes to be successful. She is also a powerhouse on vault and floor with the ability to compete all-around. With her strong work ethic and high skill level, we are eager to see her shine in college."
 
Alexis Lee (Algona, Wash./Ascend Gymnastics)

• A two-time region 2 and national qualifier.
• Finished among the top 20 on vault, bars and in the all-around at the 2026 USAG Dev. National Championships
• Placed in top five in all four events and the all-around at 2026 Region 2 meet.
• Was in the top 10 in all events at the 2025 Region 2 championships.
• Recorded a top-10 finish on vault at the 2025 state meet.
• Was the level 10 Region 2 bars champion in 2024.
• Fun fact: Took third place on America's Funniest Home Videos while learning to drive.

Genovese on Lee: "Alexis is a three-year level 10 gymnast who brings a lot of competitive experience to the team. On vault she has a Yurchenko ½ on tuck ½ off, which is a 10.0 start value bringing a lot of depth and added difficulty to the vault line up this year. We are excited to see her bring her vault and all of her experience to NCAA gymnastics."
 
Katie Rude (Stateline, Nev./South Coast Gymnastics/Oregon State)

• Transfer from Oregon State where she was in the vault lineup in five meets and performed exhibitions in four others.
• Had four scores of 9.7-plus on those vaults with a high of 9.875.
• Trained at South Coast Gymnastics in Irvine, Calif.
• Placed in the top 10 on vault and beam and top 20 on bars, floor and in the all-around at the 2025 Region 1 championships.
•  Won the 2025 state vault title and finished in the top 10 on every event and the all-around.
• Finished first place on vault, beam, floor and in the all-around at the 2025 Pacific Classic.
• Was the vault champion and recorded top-10 finishes in all other events at the 2025 Long Beach Open.
• Placed in the top 20 in all four events and the all-around at the 2024 Region 1 meet.
• Fun fact: Can sew her own clothes and does a lot of craft and DIY projects.

Genovese on Rude: "Katie brings not only competitive experience but collegiate level competitive experience. She has strong potential to compete on vault, beam and floor immediately. Katie also has a very unique vault in a front handspring - front handspring pike which is a 10.0 start value. We are so happy bringing Katie on board and feel she is the perfect fit for Hornet gymnastics and what we are building."
