SACRAMENTO, Calif. — After over three months away from competition, the Sacramento State women's golf team will return to action at the San Diego State Classic on Monday at The Heights CC in San Diego.

The two-day tournament will have a pair or rounds on the opening day followed by a single round on Tuesday. This year will mark the first time the Hornets have played in the San Diego State Classic.

The 12-team field will have a California feel as all but two of the schools come from the Golden State. Cal State Fullerton and Oregon State are the two highest-ranked teams in the tournament as they enter the week ranked 42
nd and 43
rd, respectively.

Sacramento State played in four fall tournaments, finishing in the top 10 in each event. The team was led by
Tova Hatton with a scoring average of 73.08.
Darla May Dela Torre (73.50),
Ella Kraft (73.50) and
Sophia Lee (73.92) also averaged less than 74.00 strokes per round during the first four tournaments of the year.
