SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State signed Stony Brook transfer Jeremiah Nyarko, it was announced today by first-year head coach
Mike Bibby.
Nyarko, a forward, is the 13th player to sign since Bibby was introduced as head coach in April. He joins forwards

Mark Lavrenov, a forward, also signed with Sacramento State during the early period.
The Hornets currently have 14 players on the roster - all brand new to the program.

• A 6-9, 215-pound forward from Accra, Ghana
• Will be a senior with the Hornets
• Transfer from Stony Brook (Stony Brook, N.Y.) of the Coastal Athletic Association
• Played his junior season (2024-25) at Stony Brook, appearing in eight games
• Played his sophomore season (2023-24) at Western Texas JC (Snyder, Texas)
• At Western Texas, he played in 19 games (17 starts), averaging 14.0 ppg and 5.3 rpg while shooting 53% (110-for-207) from the field and 37% (16-43) from the 3-point line
• Had 42 points (19-25 FG) and 10 rebounds in a win over Temple College
• Spent his freshman season (2022-23) at University of San Diego of the West Coast Conference
• Appeared in 16 games for the Toreros (one start)
• A 2022 graduate of Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, Calif.
• Played his senior season at Sierra Canyon with Bronny James
• Played his first three high school seasons at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Calif.
• A two-time all-conference selection at St. John Bosco
• Averaged 11.7 ppg and 5.7 rpg as a junior, 9.4 ppg and 6.1 rpg as a sophomore, and 14.0 ppg and 4.8 rpg as a freshman
• Grew up playing soccer, and did not start playing basketball until 2017 (15 years old)
• Selected to represent Ghana at the NBA Academy in Senegal
