The Hornets (11-10, 4-4), who have been starting four freshmen and a sophomore in the singles lineup all season, improved to 9-3 at home. Sacramento State will be the No. 5 seed at next week's Big Sky Conference Tournament in Phoenix where it faces No. 4 Weber State in the first round on Thursday at 8 a.m. Idaho (9-11, 4-4) will be the No. 6 seed and take on No. 3 Montana.
The winner of those two quarterfinal matches advance to Friday's semifinals to play either top seed Northern Arizona or No. 2 Idaho State. Sacramento State, despite the youngest roster in recent memory, will attempt to repeat as Big Sky Tournament champions.
