GYMNASTICS UNVEILS 2026 SCHEDULE

Hornets to have five home meets during the year

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Five home meets and matchups against seven teams that qualified for an NCAA Regional last season, highlight the 2026 Sacramento State gymnastics schedule.
 
Fans can get their first look at the team at the annual Flip Fest on Sunday, Dec. 7 in The Nest. Third-year head coach Melissa Genovese returns eight starters from the 2025 team and has added a talented class of four newcomers.
 
The regular season begins for the Hornets on Friday, Jan. 11 with a home meet against Alaska Anchorage and then the team will compete in a dual meet at Oregon State on Friday, Jan. 16. January will also include a home quad meet against UC Davis, Western Michigan and Wisconsin-Whitewater on Friday, Jan. 23 and a road quad at Boise State which will include Utah State and Air Force on Jan. 30.
 
Sacramento State will have four meets in February with three coming at The Nest. The month starts with a four-team meet at Utah State along with Southern Utah and Alaska Anchorage on Feb. 9. The team will then have three consecutive home meets beginning with a dual against UC Davis on Sunday, Feb. 15. The following week the Hornets will welcome William & Mary on Feb. 22 and then have Senior Night against Cal and San Jose State on Friday, Feb. 27.
 
March will take Sacramento State away from home for four meets. The team will compete in a quad meet at San Jose State which includes Arizona State and Boise State on March 1 and remains in Northern California for a dual at UC Davis on March 8. The final regular season meet will be on March 13 at Washington. The Hornets will participate in the MPSF Championships on March 21 in Cedar City, Utah against Southern Utah, UC Davis and Alaska Anchorage.
 
The 2026 NCAA postseason will include regionals at Baton Rouge, La., Corvallis, Ore., Lexington, Ky., and Tempe, Ariz. from Apr. 1-5. The 2026 NCAA Championships will take place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas on Apr. 16 and 18.
