SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State gymnasts finished in first place in all four events as well as the all-around and the Hornets totaled 195.150 for its third-highest score of the year in a win over Alaska Anchorage on Sunday afternoon at The Nest. The Seawolves totaled 191.500.
Sacramento State opened the meet on vault and totaled 48.700.
Rose Wilson and
Sarah Lutrel tied for first place with each scoring 9.800. The event victory was the first for Wilson in her career while Lutrel won on vault for the second time this season and fourth time in two seasons.
Emma Morgenthaler completed the sweep of the top three spots in the event with a 9.775.
The Hornets finished bars with a team score of 48.675 and had four of the top five finishers.
Bella Lahmidi set her career best with a 9.850 to finish first on bars for the first time in her five years. Freshman
Rose Wilson tied her season best of 9.800 to place second. Fellow freshman
Jillianne Lastra was third at 9.750 and Morgenthaler tied for fourth at 9.650.
Sacramento State broke 49 points for the second time this season, totaling 49.025. The team counted five scores ranging between 9.775 and 9.850 led by
Sarah Lutrel who finished first for the third time this season. Houghton was second at 9.825 while freshman
Mallory Barron tied for third with a career-high 9.800.
The Hornets needed to score 48.600 or better on floor to break 195 total points and responded with 48.750.
Athena Jones and Morgenthaler tied for top spot at 9.775 while
Grace Gilman and Lutrel tied for third at 9.750. Morgenthaler became the fourth Sacramento State gymnast to at least tie for first on floor this season while Jones is the first with two victories on the event.
Lutrel won the all-around with a four-event score of 39.025 for her third-highest score of the season. The sophomore had scores of 9.800 on vault, 9.625 on bars, 9.850 on beam and 9.750 on floor.
The meet served as the final regular season contest at The Nest for the Hornets this season. The team recognized

Torri Tavenner after the meet on Senior Day. The team will next compete in a four-team meet at Washington which will also include BYU and Southern Utah on Friday, March 15. Two days later, Sacramento State will compete at No. 2 California and also take on Stanford. The Hornets will host the MPSF Championships at The Nest on Saturday, Mar. 23.
