COLFAX, Wash. — The Sacramento State cross country teams wrapped up their 2024 season at the NCAA West Regional on Friday at Colfax Golf Course. The Hornet women finished in 28
th place and was led by
Tia Oliver. The men finished in 27
th place and were paced by
Ryan Martin.

Oliver completed the 6K course in 21:28.1. Her time was the 15
th fastest by a Hornet at an NCAA West Regional. Senior
Dani Gee was second on the team and 165
th overall in 22:14.8. The pair of
Ashley Busienei and
Kate Sanders ranked third and fourth on the team and were just over a second apart. Busienei finished in 166
th place in 22:15.0 while Sanders ran 22:16.1. The final time towards the team total came from
Viviana Valenton who placed 186
th in 22:24.7.

The race was won by Stanford's Amy Bunnage in 19:17.1. Oregon had the next two finishers to help the Ducks to the team title with 47 points. Stanford claimed the other automatic berth to the NCAA Championships with 70 points.

Martin guided the men's team for the fifth consecutive meet. The sophomore ran 31:37.7 in the team's lone 10K race of the season. His time placed him 17
th in school history at the meet. Fellow sophomore
Brandon Moreno ran 31:41.2 to finish in 115
th place while senior
Aiden Maddison was third on the team in 33:36.1 to place 185
th.
Cooper Love and
Saul Orozco rounded out the scorers for the team. Love ran 33:41.1 to finish in 187
th place while Orozco was 193
rd in 34:00.0.

Washington and Oregon were the top two team finishers. The Huskies totaled 66 points with the Ducks close behind with 68 points. Stanford just missed the final automatic qualifying position with 73 points.

The individual title was won by Washington State's Evans Kurui in 28:53.7.
