Michael Gravel all won in straight sets to help Sacramento State to a 7-0 sweep of William Jessup on Friday afternoon on campus.
The match was the home opener for the Hornets, who split a pair of road contests last week to begin the season. Sacramento State moved its record to 2-1 while William Jessup dropped to 2-1.
The Hornets swept all three doubles matches to earn the point. That included a 6-0 win at No. 1 from
Mark Keki and Voros.
In singles play, Silva (No. 1), Voros (No. 2), Chodur (No. 3), Aksenoks (No. 4), Rand (No. 5) and Gravel (No. 6) all won their matches in quick fashion. Chodur won his match by a 6-0, 6-0 score while Rand won, 6-1, 6-1, and Gravel, 6-2, 6-0.
Sacramento State is back in action for a home doubleheader this Sunday vs. Fresno Pacific (10 a.m.) and American River College (1 p.m.).
