SACRAMENTO -- Sacramento State head volleyball coach
Ruben Volta announced that Allison Mimbs, a 5-foot-11 outside/rightside hitter, will enroll at the University as a freshman this fall.
Mimbs recently finished her prep career at Pleasant Valley High School, and will have four years of eligibility at Sacramento State. She becomes the third signee of the Hornets' 2023 indoor class, joining setters Hailey Plugge and Kate Doorn.

• A 5-foot-11 outside/rightside hitter from Durham, Calif.
• Played four years of varsity volleyball at Pleasant Valley High School in Chico, Calif.
• Spent the first portion of her high school career as a setter, before moving to the outside.
• As a senior, she was team captain, and an all-Eastern Athletic League selection.
• Helped Pleasant Valley to section championships in 2019 and 2021.
• Recipient of the Lady Viking Award as a senior, and named to the Viking Classic all-tournament team.
• As a senior, she averaged 2.7 kills, 2.4 digs, 0.5 aces and 0.5 blocks per set while hitting .316.
• As a junior, while playing setter, Mimbs averaged 5.6 assists per set.
• Four-year member of the honor roll, and four-year recipient of the North Section CIF Scholastic Achievement Award.
• Played for former Hornet head coach Debby Colberg at Five Starz Volleyball Club in 2021 and 2022. Was team captain of both those teams.
• Most recently played for Synergy Force Volleyball Club in Roseville.
• Mother, Nicole (formerly Harty), and aunt, Stephanie (formerly Harty), both played volleyball at Sacramento State. Nicole played from 1990-93 and is a member of the Sacramento State Volleyball Hall of Fame. Stephanie played from 1993-95.
• Uncle, Greg Heitz, played baseball at Sacramento State from 1994-96.
