SACRAMENTO — The Golden State Invitational, co-hosted by Sacramento State and UC Davis, has been canceled due to expected inclement weather.

Eight teams were supposed to play over two days at the tournament with matches taking place on Friday and Saturday at both the Sacramento State campus and UC Davis campus.

The Sacramento area is expecting plenty of rain over the next seven days, with heavy amounts expected on Friday and Saturday.

The Golden State Invitational is in its eighth year of existence.
