KOETH TIES SCHOOL POSTSEASON BEAM RECORD AT NCAA REGIONAL

Scores 9.875 in her final routine as a Hornet

LOS ANGELES — Sacramento State's Amber Koeth completed her collegiate career by scoring 9.875 on beam at the NCAA UCLA Regional on Thursday night. Koeth tied for 11th place in Session II of the meet.

Koeth's score was tied for the highest score ever received by a Hornet gymnast on beam at an NCAA postseason meet, matching Nirvana Zaher's mark from 2004. Her tie for 11th is tied for eighth best finish on beam by a Sacramento State athlete.

The fifth-year senior will leave Sacramento State tied for the school record on beam  with a 9.950. She averaged 9.800 during the 2023 season which is the second highest single-season mark on beam in school history. Her NQS of 9.885 is tied with Melissa Genovese for the best in the program record book.

The UCLA Regional featured two meets during Thursday with Utah, Washington, UCLA and Missouri advancing to Saturday's final. The top two teams from than meet will move on to the NCAA Championships.
