USAFA, Colo. — Emma Morgenthaler finished third in the all-around and tied for fourth on bars and Amber Koeth tied for fourth on beam to lead the Sacramento State gymnastics team on Saturday at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships at Air Force.

The Hornets totaled 194.550 to finish in fourth place in the meet. UC Davis won the team title with a score of 19.6200 while San Jose State (195.600) was second and Air Force (195.475) third.

Sacramento State opened the meet on beam where it scored 49.350. Koeth posted the highest score with a 9.850 from the anchor position. Grace Gilman led off with a 9.800 to tie for 10th place and Morgenthaler scored 9.750 to tie for 18th.

On floor, Koeth tied for seventh place with a 9.825 for the highest score on the team. Gilman was a quarter-tenth behind her to tie for 10th while Morgenthaler and received a 9.750 to tie for 18th. Overall, the team finished the rotation with a 48.825.

The team continued to vault where it finished with a total of 48.375. Freshman Rylin Zimmerman posted a 9.725 to tie for eighth place and lead the team.

After a bye in the fourth rotation, the Hornets closed the meet on bars. Morgenthaler paced the team with a season-high and career-high tying 9.850 to tie for fourth place. Bella Lahmidi added a career best 9.825 in her final collegiate routine and was matched by Sarah Lutrel to tie for seventh place. The team also counted a 9.800 from Koeth and a 9.700 from Torri Tavenner.

Morgenthaler scored 39.050 in the all-around to place third. The redshirt sophomore surpassed 39 points for the fourth consecutive meet and the fifth time this season. San Jose State's Lauren Macpherson won the all-around with a total of 39.300.
