FIVE FACTS FOR FOOTBALL VS. IDAHO STATE

1. Another Tough Test
A week after facing the best rushing offense in the FCS, the Hornets will have the challenge of taking on the most prolific passing team in the subdivision on Saturday. Idaho State enters the game averaging 342.6 passing yards per game and has a significant lead of second-place Brown (328.5 ypg). Under first-year head coach Cody Hawkins, ISU passes on 67.5 percent of its offensive plays. Total offense between the two teams is nearly even as the Hornets average 411.9 yards per game compared to 415.9 for Idaho State.

2. Homecoming Hype
Saturday's game against Idaho State will serve as this year's Homecoming game. The first Homecoming game at Sacramento State came during the 1954 season against UC Davis. The Hornets have won five of their last seven Homecoming games and 12 of their last 17. Five of those wins have come against Idaho State.

3. Going Out With A Bang
For the final time this season, fans will be treated to a postgame fireworks show at Hornet Stadium. The production will begin minutes after the game ends.

4. How To Follow The Action
If you can't make it to Hornet Stadium, there are several options to keep track of what is going on. This week's game will be shown on KMAX31 as well as streamed on ESPN+ with Jason Ross and Darren Arbet. Fans can also listen in on ESPN 1320 as well as online and on the Audacy app to Dave Lewis, Steve McElroy and Danny Sullivan.

5. Let's Make It Clear

  • Bags that are clear and do not exceed 12" long by 12" high by 6" wide;

  • Exceptions will be made for medically necessary bags after inspection at any entrance.
  • Prohibited items will not be held at the event and must be returned to your vehicle.
  • Seat cushions without pockets or compartments will be permitted.
