STOCKTON, Calif. -- Nine of Sacramento State's 10 players competed over the weekend at the Pacific Invitational at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. The tournament marked the final fall competition for the Hornets.

Seniors Ori Maior and Patrick Wong, juniors Rudolfs Aksenoks, Michael Gravel, Mark Keki, Jiri Novak and Jan Silva, sophomore Hayden Rand, and freshman Tyler Waddock each competed at the three-day event. The only Hornet to not appear in the tournament was junior Mate Voros, who just played earlier this week at ITA National Fall Championship.

Overall, the Hornets combined for 13 singles wins as eight of the nine Sacramento State players picked up at least one victory. That included a 3-0 record for Aksenoks, and 2-0 for both Keki and Silva.

In doubles play, the Hornets combined for a 6-2 record, including a 2-0 mark from Novak/Rand.

The event concluded a busy fall that saw members of the Hornets compete in six different events. Sacramento State will not play again until opening it spring season at UC Riverside on Jan. 19.
