Box Score SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sacramento State matched the physical Montana State Bobcats rebound-for-rebound on Friday, but an impressive three-point shooting performance by the Bobcats was too much for the Hornets to overcome in Friday's 81-66 loss.

The Hornets played well overall in Friday's regular season finale, matching the physical Bobcats in rebounds, 37-37. The Hornets even won the battle in the paint, 28-22. But it was the outside shooting of Montana State that proved too much for the Hornets to overcome.
The biggest difference in Friday's result came from beyond the arc, where Montana State just would not miss. The Bobcats made 14 of 31 three-point attempts on Friday, a 45.2 3PT%. Half of those threes came courtesy of Bobcats junior Tori Martell, who finished 7-for-12 from three-point range.
The hot outside shooting combined with back-to-back early turnovers for the Hornets meant that Montana State was able to lead start-to-finish on Friday. Sacramento State kept things close in the first half, but the Bobcats pulled away in the second and never looked back.
