TUCSON, Ariz. — The No. 58 ranked Sacramento State women's tennis team lost its 2013 season opener, 7-0, to No. 28 ranked Arizona on Friday afternoon in a non-conference dual match.

The Hornets (0-1) used three true freshmen in their top-6 as they must replace the core of their Big Sky Conference championship squad from a season ago. Freshmen Jennifer Nguyen, Siobhan Ryan-Bovey and Saskia Angerer all made their debuts for the Hornets on Saturday.

Rebeca Delgado, the Hornets' lone senior in the starting six, had some success with junior Sophie Lohscheidt at No. 1 doubles, but fell 8-6 to Kim Stubbe and Inge Hendrikx.

The Wildcats won all six singles matches in straight sets.

Arizona (1-0) will face Texas Tech on Saturday while the Hornets will stay in Tucson to play the Red Raiders on Sunday morning.
