Sacramento State

2019 Season

• Played in all 13 games during his first season with the team where he had 22 total tackles, including 16 solos, one tackle-for-loss, a forced fumble and fumble recovery.
• Started two games at cornerback (Cal Poly, UC Davis).
• Was credited with at least one tackle in 11 games and had two or more stops in six contests.
• Set his season high with four tackles at Fresno State and later matched that total at Northern Arizona.
• Forced a fumble and returned it 40 yards at Fresno State which led to a Hornet touchdown.

Prior to Sacramento State

• Played two seasons at Phoenix College.
• Tallied 33 total tackles, including a sack, as a sophomore in 2017.
• Also had an interception, recovered a fumble and had three pass breakups.
• Had at least two tackles in nine of the 10 games.
• Recorded a season high six stops at Arizona Western and had five against Pima.
• Intercepted a pass against Glendale.
• As a freshman, he recorded 24 total tackles.
• Had eight stops, including seven solos, against Scottsdale Community and had five at Snow College.
• Picked off a pair of passes during the season and had three pass breakups.

High School

• A 2016 graduate from Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix.
• Made 30 tackles as a senior.
• Had at least one stop in each of the team’s 11 games.
• Also intercepted two passes, had three PBUs and recovered a fumble.

Personal

• Plans to major in communication studies.
• Parents are Helen Evans and Earl Butler.
• Brother, Emmanuel, was an FCS All-American wide receiver at Northern Arizona.
