2024 Season
• Took a redshirt in her first collegiate indoor season.

At Sacramento State
• Began Sacramento State tenure in the spring of 2024 when she redshirted during the beach season
• Will be her first year of indoor play for the Hornets

High School
• A 2023 graduate of Benowa State High School in Queensland, Australia
• Two-time team captain for Benowa State, and two-time regional team captain
• Benowa State is a year 7-12 school, and McCarthy helped the indoor team to two national championships, five state titles, and one national bronze
• Won both a national title, and state championship, with Benowa in 2021 and 2022

Personal
• Parents are Katrina and Matthew McCarthy
• A kinesiology major
• Becomes the second Australian (Tasman Dwyer) to play for the volleyball program at Sacramento State
• Won a gold medal with the U19 state team in 2023.
• Was the youngest player on the open women’s state team in their silver medal winning run.
• Received her black belt in Karate at the age of 14.
