2025: Made 13 appearances and 11 starts on the mound for the Hornets… Finished with a 1-4 record and a 5.10 ERA over 42.1 innings, striking out 40 against only 10 walks… Opponents hit just .250 against him on the year… Finished the season ranked 13th in the Western Athletic Conference in opponents batting average, tied for fourth in fewest walks allowed, and eighth in fewest walks per nine innings (2.13)… Earned the win in the season opener against San Francisco (2/14), allowing a run on three hits and striking out three over five innings… Threw a season-high seven innings in a no-decision against Pacific (3/8), allowing an unearned run on three hits over seven innings, striking out 10 without a walk… Also struck out seven over five innings in a no-decision against Ball State (2/21).
2024: Appeared in 14 games, making 13 starts as a member of the Hornets’ weekend rotation… Ended the year with a 4-4 record and a 3.75 ERA — the latter ranked third on the team among pitchers with 10-or-more appearances… Struck out 55 hitters in 69.2 innings, walking only 16 hitters on the year… Finished the year ranked No. 65 in the NCAA in WHIP (1.16) and No. 62 in fewest walks per nine innings (2.07)… Held opposing hitters to a .247 batting average… Ranked No. 13 in the league in ERA, 12th in innings pitched, eighth in innings per game (4.98), sixth in fewest walks per nine innings (2.07), and tied for 10th in fewest runs per nine innings (4.26)… Posted a 2-3 record with a 3.81 ERA and .253 average against in WAC play, striking out 36 in 49.2 innings over 10 appearances (nine starts)… Finished with four “quality starts” on the year against nationally ranked UC Santa Barbara (2/23), Abilene Christian (3/22), California Baptist (4/6), and at Seattle U (4/13)… Carried a perfect game into the sixth inning against the Redhawks on April 13 and finished with 6.2 innings of no-hit baseball in a victory, throwing a season-high eight shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out five… Earned the win over the ranked Gauchos on Feb. 23, allowing an earned run on six hits and striking out three over six innings… Picked up his second win of the season against the Wildcats, allowing a run on three hits over six innings… Also struck out five over five innings, allowing a run on three hits against Santa Clara (4/20)… Struck out a season-high seven batters against Loyola Marymount (2/16) in the season opening doubleheader, allowing two earned on six hits over five innings without a walk.
2023: Made 24 appearances and four starts on the mound for the Hornets… Finished the year with a 1-2 record and a 7.45 ERA, striking out 44 in 38.2 innings… Opened the season with a season-high seven strikeouts over four innings, allowing a run on three hits against North Dakota State (2/19)… Tied that season-high strikeout total at Pacific (4/10), striking out seven over three innings… Started in four of his final five appearances on the season, including a four-inning start against California Baptist (5/14) and a five-inning win over Utah Tech (5/20), striking out six and allowing only two hits.
2022: Appeared in 20 games on the mound for the Hornets, making three starts… Finished 1-3 on the year, striking out 18 in 26.2 innings of work… Earned his first win of the season in the opener against Northern Illinois (Feb. 18), striking out a pair over a season-high five innings of relief… Struck out a season-high four in a start at San Francisco (March 15), throwing four innings.
PONDEROSA HS
Played four seasons at Ponderosa HS in Shingle Springs, Calif., including three years on varsity under head coaches Ben Peterson and Grant Tonelli... Split time at both pitcher and second base for the Bruins... As a senior, was named first team All-Foothill Valley League as well as Team MVP... That season, went 6-1 with an 0.60 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 35 innings of work... Helped lead his team to a 2019 CIF section championship.
PERSONAL
Parents are Greg and Julie Stewart... Has a brother, Connor... Four-year member of the honor roll in high school... Enjoys the outdoors, especially hiking and fishing with family and friends... Played two years with the Baseball Performance Academy, advancing to the "Elite Eight" in the USA baseball tournament in Arizona.
