REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2024): Made only one appearance during the regular season, playing the final five minutes against Idaho State (10/4), but shined for the Hornets in the Big Sky Conference Tournament… Entered all three matches of the league’s postseason tournament to face decisive penalty kicks, making a pair of stops in each of the contests against Northern Arizona (11/6), Montana (11/8), and Idaho (11/10) to help the Hornets advance and claim the tournament title… Was named the Big Sky Tournament MVP as a result, becoming only the third Sacramento State player to win tournament MVP honors, joining Katie McCoy (2007) and Elece McBride (2010)… Sacramento State advanced in the first two of those matches, 4-3, in penalties, before outlasting the Vandals through eight rounds for a 7-6 triumph… All told, Sonko finished combined 6-for-18 (.333) in the three decisive penalty kick rounds… Posted her first career save in her collegiate debut against the Bengals during the regular season.

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE HS
Helped the Hawks to a 12-4-4 overall record as a senior in 2022 and a berth in the 3A state tournament… All-Wesco 3A second team selection as a freshman and sophomore… Named to the All-Wesco first team as a junior and was team MVP as a sophomore… Also played basketball (three seasons of varsity), was a member of the track team for two years, and also played one year of softball.

Parents are Sandy and Marr… Has a brother, MarrSean, and a sister, Bailey… Her mother, Sandy, played soccer for the University of the Ozarks… Played club for Seattle United ECNL since 2013… Was an ECNL all-conference selection in 2019 and helped her club to the ECNL playoffs in 2020-21 and 2021-22… Named to the ICC West All-Star Team in 2020… US Youth National Team Regional ID Camp participant in 2022… 2022 Washington Olympic Development Program member from 2016-22… Region IV ODP camp participant from 2019-22… Named to the Region IV Team in 2021.
