Minyon Moore

Minyon Moore joined the Sacramento State women's basketball program as the team's Assistant Coach in April of 2021.

Moore, who was born in Sacramento, graduated from USC in three years in 2019 and spent her final year of eligibility at Oregon for the 2019-20 season. While in Eugene, Moore helped lead the Ducks to a sweep of the Pac-12 regular season and tournament titles.

At Oregon, while playing for Campbell and new Sacramento State associate head coach Xavi Lopez, Moore started all 33 games while leading the team in steals. She was named to the Pac-12 All-Defensive team for the third time in her career as well as to the Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll. She was part of a dominant Ducks team that seemed destined for a national championship before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19.

In three years at USC, Moore averaged 34.2 minutes, 13.2 points, and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 41.5% overall. She was a two-time Pac-12 All-Defensive team (2017-18, 2018-19) selection with the Trojans, as well as an honorable mention All-Pac-12 (2018-19), an honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic (2018-19), and a Pac-12 All-Freshman (2016-17).

Prior to joining the Trojans, Moore played and graduated from Salesian High School in Richmond, Calif., where she helped her team win the 2015 North Coast Section Division IV Championship and was named the North Coach Section Scholar Athlete of the Year.

While in high school, Moore also played AAU for the Cal Stars, winning a Nike EYBL national title alongside former Cal Stars and Oregon teammate Sabrina Ionescu in 2015.
