Biography

2025 Season
• Named the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year
• Became just the fourth Hornet to be named Big Sky Freshman of the Year, and first since Bridgette Smith in 2020
• Solaita is just the second Hornet to earn the honor in the last 25 years
• Played in 28 matches, including 23 starts
• A six-rotation outside hitter, Solaita started each of the final 23 matches of the season
• Averaged 2.06 kills, 1.81 digs, 0.30 aces and 2.46 points per set
• In conference play, she lifted those numbers to 2.44 kills, 2.12 digs, 0.33 aces and 2.88 points per set
• Her 0.33 aces per set in league play ranked eighth in the Big Sky
• Registered double figures in kills on eight occasions, including a season-best 20 at Idaho State
• Had 14 kills in the Big Sky Tournament quarterfinal win over Portland State
• Secured double-figure digs on six occasions, including a season-best 15 at Idaho State
• Named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 3

High School
• A 2025 graduate of Oak Hills High School in Hesperia, Calif.
• Helped the Bulldogs to a combined record of 62-22 overall, and 31-9 in league during her four varsity seasons
• A four-time all-Mojave River League selection and three-time team captain, she finished with 1,573 career kills, 1,171 digs and 176 aces
• Named league MVP, CIF Southern Section Div. 6 MVP and the Hesperia Unified School District Athlete of the Year as a senior after averaging 5.7 kills and 5.0 digs per set while hitting .367
• Named the Oak Hills High School Athlete of the Year by the Citrus Belt Area Athletic Directors Association (CBAADA)
• Averaged better than 5.0 kills per set all four years of her career, and had a kill percentage of 46 percent
• Raised her number of kills every season - 325 in 2021, 378 in 2022, 372 in 2023, and 498 as a senior
• Her 498 kills ranked 14th in the state of California

• Has two sisters that played collegiate volleyball, and two brothers that played/currently playing collegiate football
• Great uncle, Tony Solaita, had a seven-year Major League Baseball playing career between 1968 and 1979
