SACRAMENTO STATE
SENIOR (2023): Appeared in 17 of the team’s 18 matches, making three starts… Finished the year with a goal and an assist, collecting the game-winning score against rival UC Davis (Oct. 28) and adding an assist at Pacific (Sept. 7)… Attempted 14 shots, putting six on frame… Had multiple shot attempts five times and put two on frame at Air Force (Sept. 3).
JUNIOR (2022): Appeared in 12 matches for the Hornets, making eight starts… Finished with two goals and a pair of assists on the year, attempting 15 shots and putting eight on frame… Scored goals in back-to-back matches at UNLV on Sept. 18 and a penalty against San Francisco on Sept. 22… Posted his first assist of the year in the win at Saint Mary’s on Sept. 1 and completed a three-point night against the Rebels… Finished with a season-high four shot attempts against the Dons — putting three on goal — and CSU Bakersfield.
SOPHOMORE (2021): Made an immediate impact in his first season with Sacramento State, appearing in all 18 of the team's matches while starting three of them... Led the team in both total points with nine and goals scored with four... Also added one assist... Attempted 23 total shots, second most on the team, placing 13 of them on frame, also second most... His .565 shot on goal percentage was best on the team among players with at least 10 shots while his .174 shot percentage (four goals, 23 shots) was second best among players with at least 10 shots... Gonzalez scored his first goal as a Hornet on Aug. 29 at Santa Clara... Scored one game-winner, the first of his Sacramento State career, on Sept. 2 in a 3-2 win at San Jose State... Gained more and more playing time as the season progressed, making his first three starts all in the last five games of the season... Averaged 43 minutes per match and played a season-high 74 in the team's finale at UC Davis... Totaled 774 minutes played.
SOPHOMORE (2020): Season canceled due to COVID-19.
FRESNO CITY COLLEGE
FRESHMAN (2019): Played one season for the Rams under head coach Eric Solberg, playing the left and right wing and striker positions... Led the team in assists with nine and helped lead the club to a 2019 league and California Community College Athletic Association state championship.
BULLARD HS
Played four years of varsity for the Knights... Was named MVP his senior season and was a two-time all-star... Named the team's Offensive Player of the Year in his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons... Scored 25 goals and 27 goals in his junior and senior years, respectively, helping lead his team to County/Metro Athletic Conference titles in both seasons.
CLUB
Played three seasons for the COSC Odyssey under head coach Waseem Alkhatar... Played both the left and right striker positions... Was the top scorer in the Championship League EPL in 2017 (35 goals) and runner up in both 2018 and 2019... Helped lead his club to tournament wins at the 2017 National Cup and 2018 Davis Cup.
PERSONAL
Parents are Juan and Eileen Gonzalez... Majoring in biology... Plans to obtain degree and enter the medical field where he can help people... Loves cross fit and basketball... Brother Juan plays soccer for Fresno Pacific University... Sister Marisa runs cross country and track for UC Irvine.
