Played three years at forward for the Warriors before transitioning to goalkeeper as a senior… Helped Galt HS to a pair of Sierra Valley Conference titles as a freshman and senior, as well as a runner-up finish as a junior… Was a two-time all-league selection as a forward as a sophomore and junior, scoring 11 goals in nine matches in the former, and adding 13 goals and 14 assists in the latter… Posted seven shutouts as a senior in net en route to a third all-league honor.

PERSONAL
Parents are Francisco China and Alma Chavez… His brother, Arath Chavez, was a member of the Sacramento State men’s soccer team from 2018-19 before passing away in an accident in 2021… Also has two other brothers, Daniel Alverez and Jhonathan China, and a sister, Shayla China… Earned the “G” Award at Galt HS, given for outstanding contribution to school culture and community… Played club for the San Juan Soccer Club for seven years.
