Biography

2016-17 Season
One of just five Hornets to play in all 31 games…served as a team tri-captain…finished with season averages of 2.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.5 steals and 18.2 minutes per game…shot .466 (27-58) from the field, .350 (14-40) from the 3-point line and .741 (20-27) from the free throw line…over the last 13 games of the season, he averaged 4.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 25.4 minutes per game…in the Hornets’ win over Idaho State in the first round of the Big Sky Tournament, Jackson had nine points and career highs in rebounds (8), assists (5), free throws made (4) and attempted (5), and minutes (35)…played 35 minutes in both of the Hornets’ Big Sky Tournament games…had at least four rebounds in each of the team’s final four games of the season…had a career-high 11 points at Idaho, and 10 points in a home win vs. Portland State…finished the season with a +2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio (53 assists, 25 turnovers), and posted the team’s best plus/minus ratio (+43)…scored 88 points during the season after combining to score 25 points during his first three years with the program.

2015-16 Season
One of five players on the team to appear in all 31 games…every appearance came off the bench…averaged 0.6 points, 0.4 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 5.5 minutes per game…played a season-high 20 minutes at Portland State…finished the season with 18 points…played double figures in minutes four consecutive games from Dec. 28-Jan. 9…had a season-high four assists against Holy Names…finished the year with a team-best +53 in plus/minus ratio, or an average of +1.7 per game.

2014-15 Season
Appeared in 12 games during his sophomore season…averaged 0.6 points, 0.2 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.3 steals in 2.1 minutes per game…had a season-best five points in the Hornets’ opener at Gonzaga where he shot 2-for-3 from the field and 1-of-1 from the 3-point line…in that game, he also had a rebound, assist and steal in seven minutes played…had three steals and just one turnover in 25 total minutes played.

2013-14 Season
Played in 11 games as a true freshman…averaged 0.2 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 3.1 minutes per game…had three assists in a season-high seven minutes in win vs. William Jessup…also played six minutes vs. UC Irvine, five minutes at UTEP, and four minutes vs. Southern Utah.

High School

A 2013 graduate of Santa Monica High School in California…played four years of basketball for the Vikings…was the team captain and starting point guard for the 2012-13 squad which reached the Div. I state championship game at Sacramento’s Sleep Train Pavilion where it fell to Pleasant Grove High School…the 2012-13 squad won the school’s first Southern Section Div. IA championship in 26 years while also winning the regional and conference titles with a 29-7 overall record…scored 18 points in the section championship victory over El Toro High School…was a first team all-Southern Section and first team all-Ocean League selection after averaging 15.2 points and 6.8 assists per game…was also the student body president during the 2012-13 academic year and recipient of the 2013 Porter Leach Award for demonstrating outstanding leadership abilities…also the team captain and starting point guard during his junior season (2011-12) which saw the team post a 20-9 overall record and win the Ocean League title.

Personal
Graduated in May of 2017 with a communication studies degree…parents are Trenton and Carmel Roberts…is the cousin of Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson…played three years of basketball for Los Angeles’ West Coast Elite as well as Pump N Run…averaged a tournament-best 30.2 points per game at the 2012 Las Vegas Fab 48 Tournament…was one of the stars on an eight-week reality show called “Summer Break” which aired on social media in the summer of 2013…the show followed nine L.A.-area teenagers in the final days before most headed off to college, and had over 131,000 followers on Twitter…each of the episodes had well over 100,000 views on youtube, with some eclipsing the 400,000 view mark.
