Alan Cheeseman joined the Sacramento State staff in September of 2023 as a team student manager and photographer/videographer. Prior to that, he served as Senior Apprentice at Rudolph Steiner College for Biodynamic Farming and earned an associate degree in Social Sciences at American River College.
Cheeseman also worked as an usher at Arco Arena from 2010-2016, interned for various basketball trainers in the Sacramento area between 2021-23, and currently trains youth basketball players during the offseason.
Cheeseman transferred to Sacramento State in the fall of 2023, and will graduate in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Film Production. After graduation, he has aspirations to work for the Sacramento Kings’ media team and expanding the game of basketball in his mother’s native country of Mexico.
Born and raised in California’s Capital City, Cheeseman is an avid hooper, sports photographer, and has been making music videos with the Sacramento Hip-Hop community since 2010. When he’s not on the road or in the gym with the team, Cheeseman is either in class or working as a life coach for the region’s autistic adult demographic.
